About us - general

Every day thousands of people around the world die from heart attacks, in motor vehicle accidents and through acts of violence - and South Africa is no exception. Yet, while the numbers of trauma-related deaths are disturbing, what is more disturbing is the fact that many of these deaths could have been prevented had the appropriate actions been taken and appropriate care been available.

It is with this disturbing fact in mind that a network of like-minded leaders in the emergency services and healthcare industry have come together in partnership to form a comprehensive Emergency Medical Care Network in South Africa – ER24.

ER24 is a 24-hour, national Emergency Medical Care Network that combines the expertise of a respected hospital group, a state-of-the-art Contact Centre equipped and staffed to handle all medical emergency calls, and a national grouping of emergency response service providers, including modern road ambulance fleets, response cars and on-demand access to both fixed-wing and helicopter air ambulance services.

This unified network of proven and financially secure healthcare organisations share a single vision to be the nation's most trusted Emergency Medical Care Network, providing affordable, fast, efficient and effective emergency response and medical care 24 hours a day.
