CROWN GARDENS - N12 East & Xavier Off Ramp on 19 September 2007 @ 10h18

A pedestrian was nearly killed this morning on the N12 highway just before the Xavier off ramp. According to the driver of a white Golf, the pedestrian suddenly ran across the road. Whilst trying to avoid colliding with the pedestrian he lost control of his vehicle.
The Golf spun out of control and skidded along the side barrier. Paramedics from ER24 arrived on the scene shortly after the incident. Fortunately no one was injured.
The male pedestrian was very apologetic on the scene and continued to say that he was sorry. The Johannesburg Metro Police arrived on the scene and questioned the driver and the pedestrian.
Traffic was slow on the N12 in an Eastern direction.
