ER24 Medic Access is designed for funders, medical aids and medical aid administrators. It ensures a low cost entry to the ER24 system that will provide every member of the group and their families with 24-hour a day access to the ER24 Contact Centre and national emergency network which includes air and ground ambulances.
Access to the Contact Centre, the essential emergency telephonic management of emergencies, and reporting information are included in the fee.
All the other services that are provided to deal with the emergency such as ambulance transportation, emergency room costs, investigations and hospital admission are the responsibility of the client or member.
This product does, however, provide the client with crucial information relating to the nature of the emergency call, the appropriateness of the response and the reason for selection of the hospital and the suitability of the care that was given, as a useful management tool.
