ER24 STATEMENT ER24 RESPONSE TO FALSE SOCIAL MEDIA MESSAGING

ER24 has implemented HR policies and procedures to address healthcare worker and staff exposure, testing and infection, including the appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as laid out by the National Institute of Communicable Diseases (NICD) and WHO.

The safety of our patients and staff is a priority, and ER24 has both internal and external processes guiding our response. A message posted on Twitter claiming that two staff members who tested positive for COVID-19 and forced to work is false.

The author of the tweet in question is deliberately spreading fake news. In strict accordance with the Department of Labour, ER24 would not, in any aspect, force any member of its staff to work following a positive COVID-19 test result.

ER24 regards this allegation in a very serious light.
