Meet our top performers.

We’ve recently announced ER24’s Region, Branch, Site and Contact Centre of the Year award winners, and we are so proud to showcase our top performers.

These awards reflect the hard work, professionalism, and passion exhibited by each winner, but more importantly, the teamwork it takes to come out on top – all while keeping the patient at the heart of everything we do.

To find out what makes our winning branches so special, we took some time to learn more about the care they deliver and what it takes to run a successful branch.

ER24 Highveld

Branch of the year: Northern Region

Northern was also awarded the Region of the Year

André Momberg, Branch Manager:

Q: What do you believe your team has that makes your branch unique?

A: Over the past three years, we have created the most healthy team synergy I could ask for. Strangely enough, this all started in 2020 with the COVID-19 outbreak. Our branch just pulled together in that scary, challenging time, and up until today, we continue to be one big team that functions like a well-oiled machine.

Q: What do you think it takes to run a successful branch?

A: Each branch is unique, and it will differ from area to area or province to province, but one piece of advice I will give is that any branch manager must always remember is that you are only as good as your weakest team member. Investing time in their development will benefit you too. Always remember: we LEAD people, and you MANAGE things. Always be a leader.

ER24 Western Cape East

Branch of the Year: Coastal Region

Navesh Singh, Branch Manager:

Q: What do you believe your team has that makes your branch unique?

A: We have a diverse group of unique individuals who came together to form a high-performing team. Our diversity is one of our greatest strengths. We have created an environment where everyone is encouraged to give their opinions, which are embraced.

Q: What do you think it takes to run a successful branch?

A: As a leader, you need to be adaptable, future-focused and network well, amongst other skills. I think the most important skill is to be people focused and recognise that the staff around you are your greatest assets. You also need to be client-centric, ensuring you deliver the best possible care to all patients in their time of need.

ER24 Potchefstroom

Branch of the Year: Gauteng Region

André Bronkhorst, Branch Manager:

Q: What do you believe your team has that makes your branch unique?

A: We foster relationships in the team so that it feels more like a family than a work environment. We are a team that is very close to one another and we share the same end goal: excellent patient care, compassion and dedication.

Q: What do you think it takes to run a successful branch?

A: We have to be able to be honest with each other and correct each other on our mistakes. A good team makes a good manager, but a poor manager will break a good team. When it comes to quality patient care, there is no other way than the correct way, and we should always remain patient-centric in all that we do.

ER24 Bloemfontein

Branch of the Year: Central Region

Lucas Bezuidenhout, Branch Manager:

Q: What do you believe your team has that makes you unique?

A: They have discipline and a strong work ethic. They are proud of what they are doing, and the work is a passion for them.

Q: What do you think it takes to run a successful branch?

A: Commitment, discipline, and not forgetting that we are all human beings and that no shift is the same as the one before. Each person in the team is a contributor to the success. We’ve had a tough year, so this was great recognition to receive.

ER24 Goldfields

Site of the Year

Sean van der Merwe, Base Manager:

Q: What do you believe your team has that makes your base unique?

A: We use the four C systems here: Clarity, Commitment, Contribution and Concerns. At the base, we aren’t simply colleagues; we are a family. A win for one is a win for us all; we all share in the success and disappointments.

Q: What do you think it takes to run a successful branch?

A: Encouraging open communication and being open to other points of view. The staff have come together and grown in ways I never thought possible when I first started as the manager.

ER24 Vodacom 112

Contact Centre of the Year

First time this award has been added.

Rajes Govender, Manager:

Q: What do you believe your team has that makes you unique?

A: Our strong emphasis on empathy and understanding sets our team apart. We approach each customer interaction as an opportunity to build connections and address their needs with utmost care. Our focus on continuous training and development also keeps our team members equipped with the latest industry practices, enabling them to deliver exceptional experiences.

Q: What does it take to run a successful team/Contact Centre?

A: Running a successful Contact Centre requires a combination of factors. Firstly, having a clear and shared vision aligned with the organisation's values is crucial.
