Welcome to the ER24 (Pty) Ltd, Registration Number: 2000/005657/07, Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry competition. These are the official rules of the competition. These rules, together with any official competition communication, will govern and apply to the competition. Please take a moment to review these rules. By your participation, you agree that these rules will govern all aspects of your relationship with ER24’s competition and competition-related agents and the Promoter. These rules may be modified or superseded by ER24 at any stage and in ER24’s sole and absolute discretion. In such an instance, ER24 may post a written revision to these rules on the competition website or make use of any other potential official competition communication methods reasonably determined to reach a majority of potential participants.

Participation

  1. The competition is conducted by ER24. 
  2. No person who is a director, employee, sponsor or agent of or consultant to ER24 and the prize affiliates, or who is a spouse, life partner, parent, child, brother, sister, business partner, or associate to a director, employee or agent of or consultant to ER24 and the prize affiliates are eligible to participate or enter this competition. 
  3. This competition is only open to legal residents of the Republic of South Africa and in specific provinces where specified.

Entries:

  1. The competition opens on 13 August 2026 and closes at 23:59 on 26 August 2026. No late or early entries will be accepted 
  2. To enter the competition, participants must hold a valid subscription to ER24’s newsletter. 
  3. The winner will be randomly chosen via a certified method of selection. 
  4. No responsibility will be accepted for entries lost or delayed due to technical difficulties. 
  5. Entries that followed the required steps for participation within the valid prize duration in the competition will be treated as the only validation source and will be the only evidence of a successful entry.

Prizes:

  1. The prize consists of two (2) tickets to the South Africa vs New Zealand rugby match taking place on 29 August 2026 in Cape Town (“the Match”). The prize is limited strictly to the two (2) match tickets and does not include or cover flights, air travel, accommodation, meals, transfers, ground transportation, parking, travel insurance, spending money or any other costs or expenses incurred by the prize winner or their guest in connection with attending the Match. 
  2. The prize is not transferable, exchangeable for cash or any other alternative prize, and may not be sold or resold. 
  3. The prize winner and their guest are solely responsible for making and paying for all arrangements and costs associated with travelling to and from the Match, including, without limitation, flights, accommodation, meals, transfers, ground transportation, parking, travel insurance and any other incidental or personal expenses. ER24 will not be responsible for arranging, booking or paying for any such costs or expenses. 
  4. The selected prize winner will be contacted by ER24 using the telephone number and email address provided by the participant upon entry. ER24 will make up to three (3) attempts to contact the selected winner by telephone. If the selected winner cannot be reached after three (3) telephone attempts, ER24 will send an email to the email address provided by the participant. The selected winner will have twenty-four (24) hours from the time the email is sent to respond and confirm acceptance of the prize and their availability to attend the Match. 
  5. If the selected winner cannot be contacted after three (3) telephone attempts, fails to respond to the email within the applicable twenty-four (24)-hour period, declines the prize, or is otherwise unable to comply with these rules, ER24 reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify that participant and select an alternative winner. The alternative winner will be subject to the same contact and acceptance process. 
  6. Due to the date of the Match, the prize winner must respond within the period specified by ER24 and provide any information reasonably required to facilitate the delivery or collection of the tickets. Failure to do so may result in the prize being forfeited and an alternative winner being selected. 
  7. ER24 is not responsible for any damaged prize items after signature of receipt or a missed booking after a date is confirmed. 
  8. The prize may be subject to additional terms and conditions that the prize winner must comply with. Where this is applicable, these additional terms and conditions will be communicated by ER24 with the prize winner. 
  9. The prize winner and their guest are responsible for complying with all terms, conditions, venue regulations and entry requirements applicable to the Match and the tickets. ER24 will not be responsible for any refusal of entry resulting from the winner or their guest failing to comply with such requirements. 
  10. The prize winner may nominate one (1) guest to accompany them to the Match. The prize winner is responsible for ensuring that their nominated guest complies with any applicable ticket, venue or event requirements.

Prize winner selection

  1. Following the closing of the competition, one (1) valid prize winner will be randomly selected from all eligible and valid entries received during the competition period using a randomised selection process determined by ER24. 
  2. One (1) prize winner will be selected at random from all eligible and valid entries received during the competition period 
  3. The prize winners will be notified by telephone and e-mail. 
  4. Prize winners may be requested to participate in publicity connected to this competition. The prize winners grant permission for the use of their names and photographs in any advertising and promotional material for this competition.

General rules

  1. The participant unconditionally and irrevocably indemnifies and holds harmless ER24 and its successors, employees, officers, suppliers, contractors, agents, consultants, directors and shareholders against all and any losses, claims, proceedings, actions, damages (direct, consequential or otherwise), liability, demands, expenses, legal costs (on an attorney and own client basis), medical costs or other costs howsoever arising out of, based upon, or in connection with (directly or indirectly) the participant’s participation in the competition, to the maximum extent permitted by law, including from wilful misconduct or negligent acts or omissions on the part of any such person. 
  2. If a participant contravenes these rules, the participant may, in ER24’s discretion, be disqualified from the competition. 
  3. ER24’s decision is final and no further correspondence or debate will be entertained. 
  4. Income taxes relating to the prizes, if any, are the sole responsibility of the prize winners. 
  5. The laws of the Republic of South Africa govern this competition. 
  6. The prize tickets will be provided to the prize winner by the method determined by ER24. The prize winner must provide accurate and complete information reasonably required by ER24 to facilitate the delivery or transfer of the tickets. 
  7. ER24 reserves the right to cancel or alter any aspect of the competition at any time at its sole discretion without liability.
  1. Participants in the competition understand and agree that in order to offer the competition; ER24 must collect and use personal information about participants. This competition is conducted under the terms of applicable privacy statements and the participants provide their informed consent in this regard when opting to take part in the competition.
